Fibro Can Bite Me

Fibro is a bitch. I don’t think that I’m exaggerating at all. Unpredictable, vicious, petty, and all-around sucktastic.

Most autoimmune diseases, like fibro, go through cycles: really sick, sick, okay, good, great, REALLY sick, and so on… You get tricked into thinking that things are going well, so you start thinking that you’re getting better. That’s when the bitch comes back!

I started a new job a few months ago. I love it! I get to talk to great people and pet animals. What’s not to love? Due to bad timing and low staff, I’ve had to work a lot. No problem. For a week. Two weeks? Eh… So, on my first day off in a while I feel really rundown.

This has lead to a downward spiral. Knowing what’s happening and what you should/shouldn’t do is totally different when you’re going through it.

So, I’m slowly regrouping and planning. Honestly, I feel that I should just do it. Planning leads to procrastinating. Procrastinating leads to laziness. Laziness leads to the Dark side.

Part of what kicked this all off was hurting my back. I was doing a program that I’ve done before. No biggie. There wasn’t a big OW moment. Halfway through, I just started hurting in my sciatic region. The rest of the day was brought to you by ibuprofen and hot water bottles.

This “same day” appointment service provided by a hospital in Pittsburgh actually would have been a month. So, I didn’t see a neurologist. I saw a orthopedist. šŸ˜ I didn’t know if that was a good thing to do, but the operator did. What a waste of time! Like I already knew, he said that it wasn’t a bone issue.

Now, I just need to focus on me: diet and core work. Step by step (“Ooo babaaayyy….”)…. I’ll get there!
